    If there a term(door) that will allow a cmd line to be passed to SBBS? I can load SBBS as a door server menu with TelnetDoor from RM, but to say I want to run one door with xtrn=MSWEEPER command after the username and password, nothing I know of will pass it.

    Anyone have any tips?

    Command Line Specifiers are the terms that allow passing a command line to SBBS. These are special sequences or macros that will be replaced with dynamic values at the time the command line is executed by the BBS. Command Line Specifiers can also be used in string-related Baja functions and with the JavaScript `bbs.cmdstr()` method.

    I have no trouble with the commands, I ASKED if there was a telnet door that would allow me to pass the -xtrn command as well as the username/password to Synch. As RM Telnet Door only passes username/password ip&port. Will not allow any extra data to be passed by rlogin.

    you might be able to use that program that lets you use synchronet stuff
    on non synchronet bbses, and then use a rlogin script with it.

    I'm not sure , digital man would know. I don't play around with that stuff anymore.

    Also ask rick if he will modify his telnet door for a donation/tip.

    I have no trouble with the commands, I ASKED if there was a telnet door

    Well clearly you do, see here:

    https://github.com/rickparrish/TelnetDoor/tree/master/bin/Release

    and here:

    https://wiki.synchro.net/howto:game_server

    Put two and two together and:

    TelnetDoor.Exe -S <server> -R -X <username> -Y <password> -Z xtrn=<door>

    Throw in a -P if you need to override the default rlogin port. Note that <door> should be the internal code of an external program on your BBS. Note that this assumes you're using the default logon.js script.

    If calling the game server from a Synchronet BBS you don't need TelnetDoor and can just use a command line like this:

    ?rlogin <server-address>[:port] -p -t xtrn=<door-game-code>

    Any rlogin client that allows specifying the terminal-type parameter will do the job, is what I was getting at. I hope that is sufficient ANSWER for your question.

    Yeah, he just told me this, this morning. -Z was listed as "terminal type".
    That's correct. The RLogin protocol only allows the client to pass 3 strings/fields to the server upon connection:
    * client-user-name
    * server-user-name
    * terminal-type/speed

    Synchronet's stock logon.js checks the rlogin "terminal-type/speed" field for the token "xtrn=<code>" and if preset (and configured/enabled), will execute the external program corresponding with "<code>". As documented here:
    https://wiki.synchro.net/module:logo

    I'm not sure what you're asking. If you want to disable the avatar chooser, you'd do that be deleting or changing the "Execute on Event" setting of SCFG->External Programs->Online Programs->Main->Avatar Chooser.

    like synchronet voting, hotline, and chatgpt chad, it's an IDEA, but not a good idea. i would throw in the l.o.r.d author's changes into that catergory.

    Maybe it already doesn't but I assumed that is what he meant.
